This series of MMA reactors is a core piece of equipment specifically designed for the pre-processing steps in the production of methyl methacrylate (MMA) casting sheets. The equipment has an effective volume of 2 to 3 tons (approximately 2.5–3.5 m³), and the main body is constructed of high-quality S304 stainless steel. The Acrylic reactor is suitable for the precise proportioning and controlled prepolymerization reaction of MMA monomers with initiators, crosslinking agents, and other additives at approximately 90°C, generating a prepolymer slurry with moderate viscosity and stable performance, laying a crucial foundation for subsequent casting.

Achieve controlled prepolymerization of MMA monomers at a constant temperature of approximately 90°C, generating a prepolymer with good flowability and uniform molecular weight distribution.

Utilize a wide-range adjustable stirring system (0–130 rpm) to adapt to the mixing needs throughout the entire process, from low-viscosity monomers to medium-to-high-viscosity prepolymers, ensuring uniform reaction and sufficient heat dissipation, preventing localized overheating or explosive polymerization.

As a key pretreatment unit in the MMA sheet-making process chain, it directly affects the transparency, internal stress control, and mechanical properties of the final sheet.

Applicable Process Stages

 

 

This PMMA reactor is mainly used in the prepolymerization stage of MMA casting plate production. After prepolymerization at approximately 90°C and 0~130 rpm, the slurry is degassed and then injected into the mold to enter the gradient temperature curing stage.
